2007 - 2008 Season Performance Schedule
Experience the Magic of Ballet Yuma!
| Ballet de Seuss! School Performances |
Ballet Yuma will present 4 special school performances of the enthusiastically received Ballet de Seuss, which premiered last year and is based upon the creativity found in the works of Dr. Seuss.
The performances will be:
9:30 and 10:45 am on Thursday March 27;
and 9:30 and 10:45 am on Friday, March 28.
The performances will be at Snider Auditorium, 400 S 6th Ave.
Ballet Yuma will be offering the performances to all area schools on a first-come basis at cost of $2.00 per person.
We have had a great deal of interest expressed by various schools regarding this kind of opportunity, so please let Steve Hennig know as soon as possible if your school would be interested in participating on this basis. Call 928-345-1534.
NOTE: Your school's seats will not be confirmed until you have given a firm number of attendees from your school AND payment OR an agreement to pay for that number of seats.

Last year's original hit is back! Ballet de Seuss is a hugely entertaining collection of fun, funny, and impressive interpretations of some of Dr. Seuss' most important themes and characters. This production has utterly irresistable 'smile appeal' for all who have the opportunity to experience it.
Audiences will delight in our colorful interpretations of "Daisy Head Maizy", "The Cat in the Hat", "The Sneetches" and "Gertrude McFuzz"!
In addition, you will be treated to a diverse series of shorter ballets, one of which Ballet Yuma dancers will be performing at Regional Dance America Pacifica Festival in Long Beach, CA in May 2008. Whatever your taste, we have something that you will enjoy!

| Regional Dance America Pacific Festival |
Long Beach, California
May 28-31, 2008
Each year, member companies meet at a host city for a Regional Festival and spend four days sharing all aspects of the art of dance. Classes are held in ballet, jazz, pointe, character, modern & pas de deux. Seminars are held on theatrical make-up, nutrition, dance injury prevention, musicality, and other dance related subjects taught by professionals in their fields. Plus, three nights of spectacular dancing that showcase the country's most extraordinary talent, to include Ballet Yuma dancers.

Come and experience the transition from the little girl that dances around in her big sister's ballet shoes dreaming of becoming a ballerina to the exquisitely trained dancers that make up Ballet Yuma. It's a magical journey, and it all starts with our 3 and 4 year old classes! Watch the growth in each level as the classes of Yuma Ballet Academy present their skills in this enlightening presentation that takes you through the years step by step.
